This game is a remake of the original Yakuza developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega and Deep Silver. Yakuza Kiwami is an action-adventure game released in 2016 for the Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 then later released for the PC and Xbox One.

In this game you play as Kazuma Kiryu a yakuza lieutenant serving under the Dojima family soon in hopes of getting his own family, but after the death of his patriarch he takes the fall for. Now after getting parole he returns to find the third chairman murdered and the clan's 10 billion yen stolen now he must find his missing friend Yumi and the missing 10 billion yen before a war escalates between the families.
