Sewing Trick: How To Sew Ties and Straps Quick. I use this technique to make ties for garments, straps, and bias tape! (Cut on the bias, at an angle for the bias) You can cut this to any size to make larger or smaller tape.

HOW TO -
Cut one inch strip of fabric and a 1.75 inch x 4 inch piece of paper.

Lay the fabric on top of the paper with equal amounts left on each side.

Fold the paper over the fabric sides.

Fold again, and then once more as shown in the video.

Pull the paper down to create the folds needed to make ties without an iron! Gently pull it by holding the sides of the paper, not gripping it tightly - just let it glide.

This may take some practice and refolding the paper but it saves so much time when you get it down!
